For Automotive F&I Managers ·
What you'll accomplish
You'll use Claude to transform dense AFIP (Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals) certification study materials into a personalized Q&A study guide — turning 40 pages of regulatory text into the 20 questions that actually show up on the exam, formatted as flashcard-style Q&As you can study in 10-minute sessions.
What you'll need
Open claude.ai and sign in or create a free account.
What you should see: The chat interface with a text box.
Start by telling Claude what you're doing:
"I'm studying for the AFIP (Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals) certification exam for automotive F&I managers. I'm going to paste sections of my study material. For each section, I want you to: (1) summarize the key rule or requirement in plain language, (2) create 5 Q&A flashcard questions that might appear on the exam, and (3) highlight any common misconceptions or 'trick' scenarios. Ready?"
What you should see: Claude confirms it's ready and understands the task.
Open your AFIP study guide (PDF or printed). For a section like "Fair Credit Reporting Act," type or paste the relevant pages into Claude.
For sections you have in PDF format: select the text, copy, paste into Claude. If your PDF isn't copy-pasteable, type the key bullet points manually — you don't need verbatim text, just the key points.
What you should see: Claude generates a plain-language summary of the regulation plus 5 Q&A pairs.
Copy Claude's Q&A output and paste it into a Google Doc titled "AFIP Study Guide — My Q&As." Keep adding sections until you've covered the whole curriculum.
What you should see: A growing document of Q&A pairs, organized by topic, all in plain language.
Once you have 30–50 Q&A pairs, come back to Claude and say:
"Quiz me. Pick 10 questions from the following list (paste your Q&As). Ask me one at a time. Wait for my answer, then tell me if I'm right and explain why."
Claude will run you through a timed self-quiz and correct any wrong answers with context.
What you should see: A real-time quiz session where you type answers and Claude scores them. Troubleshooting: If Claude has too many Q&As to track in one session, start a new chat and paste only the section you want to be quizzed on.
For any new study section:
Here's the section on [topic] from my AFIP study materials. Summarize in plain language (under 100 words), create 5 Q&As, and give me one common misconception about this rule.
[paste material]
Self-quiz:
Quiz me on [topic]. Ask one question at a time, wait for my answer, score it, and explain if I'm wrong.
Spot-check before the exam:
I'm taking the AFIP exam soon. Ask me 15 rapid-fire questions covering: adverse action, OFAC, Safeguards Rule, Red Flags Rule, and fair lending. One at a time.
